Esko-Graphics BV. ('Esko') and GMG GmbH & Co. KG ('GMG') have partnered to provide a new connection between GMG's profiling and color prediction solution, GMG OpenColor, and Esko's native prepress editing software, ArtPro+. The connector was released in November 2022.

The collaboration brings together two industry leaders to satisfy the demand for highly automated, globally connected color management solutions.

Creating a smoother and more efficient color conversion process for packaging and label printers, commercial shops and pre-media houses, the new ArtPro+ GMG OpenColor Connector enhances connectivity and data exchange between the two class-leading solutions. This integration ensures seamless file processing and color conversion without losing mission-critical metadata between systems – allowing both solutions to operate at their best.

Geert de Proost, Director of Product Management at Esko, is pleased to announce the new technology partnership. "Color management is a complex process and extremely important because there is no single quality standard you can work with," he said. Since ArtPro+ can modify colors, it is now simple and quick to add file edits after converting to Multi Color.
Improved color accuracy in print through standardization of color conversion using GMGs enhanced spectral color technology
The ability to retain mission-critical metadata to provide a seamless and highly efficient prepress workflow.
